Attorney at Law
Madeline M. Gibson’s practice at Powell Law Group focuses on civil litigation primarily in the areas of automobile liability, products liability, premises liability, and general negligence. Madeline graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2014 and earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. As a law student, Madeline served on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Law and Social Policy and participated in the First Amendment Clinic, where she assisted in appellate-level litigation involving free speech and press issues. During law school, Madeline gained experience as a law clerk at the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney in Orange County and the University of Virginia’s Office of General Counsel. After graduating from law school, Madeline worked as a Robert F. Kennedy Public Service Fellow at the Fairfax County Attorney’s Office where she focused on a wide range of local government matters including public health, intellectual property rights, civil commitment, tax, zoning, and public finance.
Prior to attending law school, Madeline worked for the Virginia Capital Representation Resource Center, providing legal assistance in the representation of death-sentenced individuals in the Commonwealth. She currently resides in the City of Richmond.
